This is for a “starving artist” mood, when you can afford whiskey, but not food.
Original recipe by Tam:
- oh god
- so cook the noodles no spice.
- Scoop the the noodles into an oiled/buttered frying pan. get whiskey, drink whiskey, pour some whiskey on the noodles and add spices. add some water so spices mix easily. Then move the noodles to the side and add an egg in the center. When it’s semi cooked then cut it up and mix with noodles.
Serves 1.
I doubled the recipe. I recommend making one serving at a time.
I added some leftover chicken to the oiled skillet while I was cooking the noodles.

I boiled the ramen for 3 minutes then added it to the skillet, along with some bacon fat. Then the spice packets, umami seasoning, drank whiskey, added whiskey and a little water. Sauteed for about 5 mins. Put the noodles to the side and added egg until halfway set. Hacked egg into pieces and mixed with the ramen.
We served it with edamame which my partner brought.

Next time I’d like to add onions and bok choy instead of chicken.
It was delicious and nostalgic!
Thank you, Tam!
